Bakersville Spring Planting Festival

Kasie and I went with our neighbors to the Bakersville Spring Planting Festival on Sunday, which is held at Baker Creek Seed Company just north of Mansfield, MO. Baker Creek offers hundreds of different types of heirloom seeds for vegetable and flower gardens. They offer a festival the first Sunday of each month, with the one in May being their biggest of the year, the Spring Planting Festival.
We had gone to the first one of the year back in March, and had bought some seeds, and really enjoyed it. We then decided that we would come back for the big spring festival, and pick up some tomato and other plants.
I highly recommend that you check out Bakersville sometime if you get the chance, but a little piece of advice, DO NOT go during the Spring Festival! Unless you like extremely large crowds of people. I am still glad we went, and we had a good time, but there just sooooo many people everywhere. It was just too crowded and made it hard to walk around, see things, look at booths, or just enjoy yourself. We actually didn’t buy anything because the lines for everything were just way too long, especially the checkout lines. I would like to come back sometime to make some purchases, but I think I will come during the week.
Here are a few pictures…
